曼紐因在四十歲前後留下的這個錄音,可說正處在他演奏的顛峰狀態。孟德爾頌作品在 1958 年於 Abbey Road 一號錄音棚錄製,錄音師是 EMI 天碟操刀人 Christopher Parker;而布魯赫作品則錄製於 1956 年,是最早期的立體聲錄音之一,錄製地點更在音效絕佳的 Kingsway Hall。孟德爾頌的慢板展現曼紐因細膩的詮釋,而最終樂章又充滿了年輕、陽光的活力;布魯赫的第一號小提琴協奏曲是他與著名小提琴家姚阿幸共同研究後寫出的,此曲自然是提獻給姚阿幸,也是布魯赫眾多作品中現今最常被演出的一曲。曼紐因的演出氣勢宏大,堪稱此曲代表作品。
