現今留存的巴哈小提琴協奏曲就是本專輯中的三首。巴哈曾經將這些曲子都改編為大鍵琴協奏曲，不過 A 小調小提琴協奏曲仍然比大鍵琴版本有名得多。這張專輯中的雙小提琴協奏曲的第二樂章從容的最緩板，則可說是巴哈最美妙的旋律，是雙小提琴合奏中最優雅的片段。曼紐因不但自己演奏並指揮這三首作品的演出，更邀來法國傳奇小提琴家費拉斯一同演出雙小提琴協奏曲，默契十足，替作品增色不少。留聲機雜誌盛讚此錄音：「立體聲平衡美妙而成功，在小提琴協奏曲中曼紐因在右方，與第一小提琴聲部明顯的分離開來；在雙小提琴協奏曲中兩位演奏者則清楚的左右分離。在這類音樂中，立體聲扮演了極佳的區隔角色。」
